Supported by the Ministry of MSME, this project strengthened Charaka’s handloom operations through upgraded looms, dyeing and testing equipment, tailoring machines, solar systems, and a Common Facility Centre (CFC).It also enabled working capital, administrative support, and skill development programmes.

Strengthening Infrastructure and Skills in Handloom Clusters
Titan CSR Project
Design Innovation and Quality Enhancement
Supported by Titan Company through Kavi Kavya Trust, this project strengthened Charaka’s design and production capabilities through professional design support and skill development in dyeing, embroidery, block printing, and tailoring. It also enabled the establishment of a fabric quality control department and improved inventory and marketing systems, benefiting over 300 artisans across departments.
OFPO Project (NABARD Grant)
Building a Producer-Owned Platform for Rural Handloom Workers
Supported by NABARD, this project enabled the formation of Uttariya Producers Company Limited in Heggodu, Sagar Taluk, Shivamogga District. With 300 rural producer members and a structured shareholding model, the initiative strengthened collective ownership, participation, and market access for sustainable rural handloom livelihoods.
Azim Premji Foundation Project
Enhancing Rural Livelihoods through Handlooms
Supported by the Azim Premji Foundation, this ongoing initiative focuses on improving weavers’ incomes through handloom-based B2B market expansion. The project aims to grow the workforce from 600 to 900 artisans and strengthen long-term livelihood security through structured market linkages.
