Charaka Utsava
An Annual Festival of Art, Dialogue and Rural Culture
Charaka Utsava has been organised annually since 2004 under the Kavi–Kavya Trust, bringing together Charaka workers, artists, writers and community members. Held each year in February, the two-day festival features seminars, cultural discussions, theatre, music, Yakshagana, and a fashion presentation by Charaka workers, creating a shared platform for artistic expression and community dialogue.
Avva Santhe
A Marketplace for Women’s Enterprises and Shared Values
Avva Santhe is jointly organised by Charaka and Jeevanmukhi to create a dedicated market platform for women-led organisations aligned with Charaka’s philosophy. Women artisans from across Karnataka participate by offering handloom products, home-based goods, and traditional regional foods, fostering economic exchange rooted in shared values.
Kayaka Prashasti
Recognising Excellence in Work and Collective Effort
Kayaka Prashasti is an annual recognition programme at Charaka that honours individual staff members and weavers’ groups for exemplary contributions. Recipients receive a Kayaka Award or Group Kayaka Award along with a certificate and a modest monetary honorarium, acknowledging dedication, skill and collective effort.
